SARE Farmer Survey

Farmers - Lets Talk Labor!

Finding and keeping labor is a challenge many Vermont and New Hampshire farmers face. With a Northeast SARE Partnership grant, Vital Communities is working with farmers to improve hiring and retention rates of skilled farm labor. Your responses to these questions will be kept anonymous and confidential. The information collected will be used to create benchmarks to be shared with the farming community. Visit the Vital Communities website to find the survey results along with information collected from a survey given to staff working on local farms for the workers perspective. We will share what techniques and tools other farms are having success with, what the average rate of pay fellow farmers are offering, and other useful information.

Thank you for taking the time to answer the following questions. This survey should take less than 8 minutes to complete. To be more involved in this grant work as a farmer-partner, please contact Nancy@VitalCommunities.org.
