Yep, that’s a picture of a few SurveyGizmo-ers on one of the three decks we have at our office. The office, like SurveyGizmo, is a pretty cool place to work. We ride bikes to work (don’t worry we have shower!), sometimes bring our dogs, and have meetings on the sunny decks.

We take the business seriously, but not ourselves. SurveyGizmo is a profitable start-up with 16 employees that’s growing fast and wants to do it with bright and friendly people. Our web application allows customers to build online surveys and collect or exchange data. Our customers include major universities, Apple, Gulfstream Aerospace, and General Mills and thousands of others.

We’ve got a pretty straightforward, but rigorous interview process, because we’re committed to working with the best people. Typically, we ask for people to do a job application with some skill assessments, plus two phone interviews and one or more on-site interviews.

Open Positions:

Account Manager / Customer Service

This position is a combination of account rep, client liason and technical support. We need three people who have a knack for technology, are friendly, empathetic and like being helpful. You’ll receive emails and calls from clients that need help with our application, paying their account, or asking for a suggestion.

If you’re good at how things work on the web and a quick-study with new software, please apply. You need to feel comfortable helping non-technical people understand how our sometimes very technical application works. You also want to help them make the most of it so they succeed. You’ll switch between answering a complex question, looking into a billing issue, or answering a prospective customer’s questions before purchase.

Required Skills:

  • Good on the phone a must, friendly, high energy
  • Fluent in MS Office tools Word & Excel
  • Experience working in a customer facing role
  • Ability to stay organized and effectively use online tools like calendar and messaging
  • Very comfortable with online software, and quick to learn software
  • Some HTML beneficial
  • Knowledge about surveys, marketing, market research, or any programming would be very useful.
