I ran a report using the new invite filter on a value for the invite_custom1 field. The report ran correctly. However, now the same report output is generated no matter what I change the filter value to. The result count changes, but the report content is the same as though the filter value did not change.
Please help, I need to get these reports to Mgmt…

Hi, alc.
Sorry about the delay in getting back to you about this. Our forum post program that emailes us about posts needing replies went dark and we didn’t realize it until yesterday.
For future reference, paid account holders can always submit a support ticket to us.
Are you still having this problem with your reports? We just did some testing and it is working correctly.
Please feel free to contact us if you are still having problems!

What I see happening is when I refresh a report to pickup new responses, I continue to see what must be a cached copy of the report that is not refreshed and does not reflect the new responses. The word and pdf versions reflect the new respones however. If I clear my browser cache and go back in, then the report reflects the new responses. It’s confusing.

I often see the same behavior and also suspect it is due to report caching in Internet Explorer. (I use IE version 6.) However, I don’t clear my browser cache but simply press F5 to refresh the current web page. You can also use CTRL+F5 to refresh the current web page, even if the time stamp for the web version and your locally stored version are the same.
For me, pressing either F5 or CTRL+F5 always displays the full new SurveyGizmo report instead of a partially-updated version.
Hope this helps,
Bruce

Hi Alc,
That’s interested the only thing the browser caching would clear are the graphs. Unfortunately, there’s little we can do about this (and what little we can do has already been done) since some browsers (esp. IE) make it very difficult to reload cached files.
Now if things other than the graphs are not changing that’s a different story entirely. Which report was giving you the problems?
Keep in mind you do have to re-run the report to update it with any changes and click on the “View” link (or refresh the report) to see those changes in the report.
Hope this helps,
Chad

My situation matched what Chad describes. Only the graphs were not updated in my “partially-updated” reports. The report data shown in tables was always fine.

Hi Bruce,
Yup sounds like a cashing issue. To reset your cache for IE just go to Tools->Internet Options, under Browsing History click “Delete…”, then select “Delete files…” for Temporary Internet Files.
Hope this helps,
Chad
