Survey named Statement of Interest in LSAC Service. Response ID 31707842. Can view it, but cannot save as PDF. Some of her responses are really long. Is this the problem?Surprised

Hello!  As I am the one who asked kfield this question,  and as the user of this survey, I am just replying here to subscribe to this Topic.

Also, this may be another Topic, but I noticed my PDF's are printing differently this morning.  Too many blank pages.  Is this a setting in MY computer?  (Example:  Previously, questions 1-8 were printing on page 1.  Now it's only #'s 1-4 on the first page, 2 blank pages, etc.)  What's up with that?

Thank you.

Suzanne

Hello, Suzanne and kfield!

I tried opening the PDF of the response and was able to without a problem. What happens when you try to open the reponse? Do you get a blank page, or does your browser continue to load forever, etc?

I do apologize for the PDF's having all the excessive whitespace, we recently made a change to our PDF design and seem to have found a snag. We're working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

Thanks for your reply, Jonathan.  (Received your email, too.)

What happens for me is that I just get a blank page (in Firefox). For some reason, I was in IE yesterday and tried it from there.  I got an “Error – This page cannot be displayed” message or something of the like.

Since this is crunch time on this project for me, would it be too much trouble for you to email me the PDF file?  It is the only with which I have this problem.

Thanks so much.

Suzanne

Hey, Suzanne!

I've emailed you the PDF for that single response, and I have better news! We found out what was happening to begin with. This response had a VERY large text answer in an essay question, and the browser was timing out while generating the PDF, but only rarely for me which is why I didn't immediately notice, and it likely was happening more often for you.

We've basically “funneled” the PDF creation so this shouldn't happen again.

Thanks!
