I have four surveys to be filled out by a group of 35 people, through email invites only. Each survey is protected with a single-use password and each individual gets a unique password. For each survey, I used the SG password generator and set Access to “single-user”. I copied the passwords, combined them (offline) with the email addresses and uploaded them to SurveyGizmo. Passwords are stored in the Custom1 field, and the invite text modified to include the password.
So, I sent a total of 35 x 4 emails. Each of those emails had a unique password. Each lists of 35 passwords was generated by the SG password generator for that survey. (Passwords could only be used for one survey, and only used once.)
Everything worked fine when I sent all four survey invites (sent about 1 month ago).
HOWEVER, yesterday I sent reminder emails for 3 of the 4 surveys. Immediately I received reports of log-in problems. I discovered that the passwords stored in the Custom1 field in ALL FOUR contact lists had changed to the passwords I assigned in the LAST of the four surveys. (“John Smith” had the same password in all four contact lists, were originally, I had given him a unique password in each list.)
The passwords sent in the reminders emails for surveys 1, 2 and 3 were the paswords generated for survey 4, so anyone trying to use them (for anything other than survey 4) would get a log in error.
Sounds like a bug to me, or was it user error on my part?
