Hello,

In creating and testing my survey I am the only one who has taken it so far. I am in Massachusetts, but on my Survey Response Overview Map the pin is located in the middle of the country. What's up with that? :)

Hi.

The Overview Map pin shows your IP address location. Your Internet Service Provider's server for your account is somewhere in the middle of the country, not Mass. That's why it's different.

Just to clarify – some ISPs (and companies) use proxy servers to protect the privacy of their customers and also for caching some content. In those cases, the IP address that is reported to SurveyGizmo will not be the same as the one at your endpoint connection, so geolookups will be innacurate. Unfortunately there is no 100% foolproof way to do geographic lookups.
