On a multi-checkbox question, if “minimum number of checkboxes the user can select” is set to “0″, and the question is set to “Required”, then we should see the required asterisk, BUT we should accept 0 checks as a valid response.

Hi Johny,
The “minimum number of checkboxes the user can select” option was not meant to work that way. It’s meant to gather a minimal number of responses for that question not un-require a required question.

If you want to un-require a required question you can either not require it or you can use a Custom Script to dynamically make it not required.

chad, you’re misunderstanding. i am not wanting to unrequire the question. i want to opposite– to require the question, in order to get the ‘required’ asterisk. but to accept 0 responses.

no worries, now i know how to put %%Required%% into the title source.

but i still think that, logically, the combination of “Required” + 0 minimum responses is a possible and acceptable scenario, and should not involve editing the title source.

Hi Johny,
I see. Unforunately, that’s just not the way our software works. Thanks for the suggestion.
