In our survery we decided to add options to the drop down menu mid survey, after doing this and running a report later we still have the same number of responses but all information from previous responses is lost.
PLEASE tell me there is a way to salvage the old responses and that they are not completely gone.

Hi Andrew,
Not to worry all the data is still there. SurveyGizmo’s reporting doesn’t know what to do with it because you changed the question.
What question was it, and what is your survey? I’ll go give SG a little extra instruction to help it match your answers back up.
This happens very infrequently — and we are changing the app so it doesn’t happen int he future (Jan 2008).

Hi Andrew,
All of your question data is now back and visible. This actually happened twice to your survey. Once on the 5th, then on the 18th.
Both sets of data are now restored.

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to let you know that this bug has been totally fixed now.
Next time you change your Matrix Question options on a live survey you will have no trouble with reporting.
Cheers,

On a related front, it would be _great_ if we could add response options in the middle of the list (especially mid-survey), instead of having to add them to the end.
I’ve found that I’ve had to add new rows at the end, and cut & paste each option down one row. And that does still make results a bit weird (the reports are fine, but the automatic results charts get mucked up).

Hi Justin,
This issue shouldn’t be a problem anymore.
If it keeps cropping up just let us know :)
