Hi,

I need some help with advanced show when rule coding. I'd like a page to appear when a respondent selects 2 particular responses to the same question (checkbox question type). I tried to write the code in the advance page options field but I can't seem to get it to work.

Here's what I wrote.

('[%%112:For which types%%]'=='Variable annuities' AND '[%%112:For which types%%]'=='Fixed annuities')

I got the “112:For which types” by using the merge code wizard. The question is actual #3 in the survey.

Thanks in advance for the help

Lauren

Hi, Lauren.

Could you please tell us the title of your survey so we can take a closer look at it for you?

Thanks,

Cheri

Cheri,

The internal name is ”Annuities agent change process.”

Thanks,

Lauren

You would typically need to use OR instead of AND, but since you are checking against a single checkbox there is some complication, and actually the SIMPLE Show-When rule is a better fit

One more quick note before I mention that, make sure you undo “Hide this page by default — a Script Action must turn it back on.”

This should still be set to NO, it is ONLY for custom scripting.

Finally, you will want to use the simple show when, and in the is/equals box you will want to put:

/Variable Annuities|Fixed Annuities/

That should get you the effect you desire.
