I have a question simple jump logic that takes the user to a page that essentially tells them they don’t qualify.

I thought I saw in yesterday’s webinar that there was a way to make such a page the end of the survey, but now I cant find it.

Hi.

Yes, we call this ‘disqualify.’

Here’s how to set it up:

Go to the page where the disqualifier question is.
Click on the ‘Add actions’ link at the top of the page.
Select the radio button labeled ‘Advanced Page Jumping & Logic’.
Use the dropdown box to tell SurveyGizmo where to put the logic in the survey.
Give the action a name if you like at the bottom of the page. In this case, you could call it “Disqualify.”
Click the ‘Add Actions’ button at the bottom of the page.
On the page that opens up, click the ‘Add New Rule’ button.
Some dropdown boxes appear.
Click on the first one on the left to select the question that will trigger the disqualify.
Click on the middle dropdown to select the operation = (equals).
Fill in the third box with the REPORTING VALUE of the disqualifier question option. This has to be exactly as the reporting value in the disqualifier option, including capital letters.
Then click the box below labeled ‘Disqualify respondent’.
When you select ‘Disqualify respondent’, a box will magically appear with the message that respondents who disqualify will see. You can edit the message to read however you want.
You can also select some other options here such as ‘Store data collected so far’ and ‘Flag response as complete’. You can also redirect the respondent to an external website from here, too, or jump to another page in the survey.
Click the ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page and click the ‘Save’ button again on the next page and you are done! Your disqualify is all set up.

Hi dmclark,
I took a look at your survey and noticed that you have an advanced page jumping and logic action on page 3.

If this is the place you want to disqualify at then there are a few things to note.

First of all you have only set the action to jump to page 7, not disqualify the respondent. To disqualify the respondent deselect the “jump to survey page”, then select “Disqualify respondent”.

Also I noticed you set up the reporting value in the rule to 00. When I took a look at question 6 (the one in the rule) you didn’t have any options with the reporting value of ‘00′. If you want to action to activate at all you have to select one of the reporting values in question 6 ex. 1,2,3,4,5 or 6.

Hope this helps,
Chad
