In my survey my first question is asked as a yes/no to determine if the respondent matches my eligiblity criteria.
If they answer “No” is there a way to skip them to the end of the survey saying “thank you very much for your interest, but for the purpose of this survey you must be xxxx - but I do thank you for your time and interest. If you are still interested in the results of this survey you can find them on the web…. once the research is completed” ?

Hi Donna,
Sure can. The best way to do this (or the easiest) is to use our disqualification action in the page logic action.
Add an “Page Logic/Jumping” action to the page that has your yes/no question question.
This action is the more advanced form of page jumping in surveygizmo… but it also has another nice feature. You can set the action for a rule from “Page Jump” to “Disqualify” and type in a custom message to be displayed.
That’s all there is too it. No need for a new page to the survey or anything.
Cheers,
-Christian

Thanks Christian - that sounds simple enough - unfortunately, I only have a personal account for now. Perhaps when I get further along in my thesis I might be able to upgrade - (do you have a student rate?)
Is there another, albeit not as simple, way to do this?

We do have a student rate if you pay for a year (50% off).
At the personal level there really isn’t a great way to do this, no. :(

for the student rate, does the 50% apply to all levels? also, what is the most economical level at which we could end the survey for individuals who do not fully meet the criteria to complete the survey?

Hi there!
The 50% only applies to Pro and Enterprise.
I could suggest using Dynamic Show/Hide or upgrading to the Pro level — ther eyouc an use page jumping plus suppression, qouta, and disqualification logic.
Cheers,
