Is there a way to filter the responses by the number of questions answered. (i.e. use all that answered more than 60% of the questions)
Is it possible to go through the responses and flag the ones you want to report on. (without exporting the data to another program)
or….
is there a way we could query the data directly. For example, i would like to select distinct responses ordered by time completed and then use your reports to look at the data

I’ll see if I can add that this weekend. We are upgrading our entire reporting system again. That should be a simple addition I can “slip in” while we are updating!

You’ll be able to flag a group of responses that you want to report on. However you won’t have direct access to the data.

This new upgrade is making use of a “mock” SQL language that we are using for survey data now.

In the future you may have direct access to that. Kinda like “sql view” in Access.

not quite sure I understand. how will be able to choose which records we want? you guys are creating a sql type interface that translates to sql (i.e. design view in access) or will we loop thru the data and flag the responses we want…or will the responders have to answer a certain way on a question to be grouped?

You’ll be able to create “segements” through a query building interface — similar to the Filtering interface in reporting right now, but with some more options.

These segments can then be reported and filter on seperatly or compared against one another.

I’m going to add the ability to segment by “number of questions answered” for you. I can add other segmenting options, just post them so I can add them before monday! ;)

Eventually, yes. You’ll have access to the data directly. But not this weekend. ;)

very much appreciated. this will really help me to filter responses that were submitted by mistake but only partially filled out.
another thing that might be convenient for taking care of duplicates (besides duping by ip address)but also being able to select distinct responses on a certain question. (selecting the first record sorted by time finished)
