Support Forums : Pass Data into URL

Hi,

I am trying to figure out how to pass data into a redirecting URL from a variable in the survey URL i.e. data=123, into another a url which is redirecting the participant to another site on survey completion. i.e. http://www.domain.com/?pass=#data#

I am not sure if this can be done and what coding is required to pass the data through to the url. I know you can pass data through from survey questions but cannot figure out how to get data from the survey URL. I tried the GET function but have had no joy.

Correct, the way to send query string variables when redirecting a survey is to load your variables into hidden fields in the survey (using the [%%GET_xxx] merge code).

Then inside the redirect action go to the Fields to Pass section, select the hidden field, give the query string variable a title and don’t forget to save!
