Hi Cheri,
Thanks for your help. I had tried doing it as you described and it didnt work. But then I tried again after your email, and it did work, so I am guessing that there was some detail I had missed.
However, I am now faced with something else. When I export the data as a CSV or an Excel file, the response values for the continuos sum question don’t have any headers.
Here’s an example:
Checkbox Q: Which do you like?
a. Coke
b. Pepsi
c. Water
Continuos sum Q: What proportion do you drink the things you like?
a. Pepsi ______
b. Water _____
Now when someone enters 20% and 80% on those two blank spots, the data exported only shows these numerical values. It does not tell me whether the options in the Continuos sum question were Pepsi and Water, or Water and Coke, or Coke and Pepsi. That makes the data rather useless for me.
Am I missing something here or is that the way data usually gets exported from such a combination of questions?
Thanks again,
Ankush
