Hi SG,

I had a serious problem with multiple row/column drop down boxes which you tried to help me with. The problem was that I would have loved to have “Don’t know” as a default value. You have not yet fixed it, however you changed something so I have a worse survey now.

Ever since you had a look at it, I have had a value in my drop down menus I cannot remove and it is ruining my survey.

When using the multiple row/column drop down question, I am now forced to choose to pick between the multiple percentages I entered my self (which is what I want) and Please Select!

I have not put “Please Select” as an option in my survey and it is not even the default value. It makes my cloumn width too wide and have effectively halted my progress at work.

If you could please remove the Please Select from my survey that has been forced into my multiple row/column drop down menu, I would be happy. It was not there earlier but after you had a look at my default request, you put it there and I cannot remove it.

The question is in my Test Survey question no 52:
52. How was your 2007 performance compared to 2006?

I do not want a response option called “Please select” Why would anyone want to answer “please select”. I do not know why it is even there, but it is not supposed to…….

Please help me, I am closing a deadline and need external testing of my survey throgh existing customers and cannot do this until someone have fixed this.

Best Regards
Ulrik

I just tried recreating the question. Now –Please Select– is the default value, but there is no way to change it.

This still means my question is forced to be too wide for the questionnaire. In the other normal drop down menus, the “look & feel” option that one can edit oneself works. I have used -Select- to minimize width but alas this does not apply to dropdown matrixes.

I can only understate the importance of this for me. I am attending a conference Tuesday as a speaker where I need to have a link ready for the questionnaire, so that attendants can take the survey. It would be very unfortunate if the question looked like it does now.

When I started my questionnaire creation, the width was determined by the options I put in the drop down matrix, since there was no default “Please Select” option. Could you please put it back that way, until you have found a way to fix it. Right now I am forced to have a too wide column width…..because you forced an uneditable –Please Select– in there…..

Ulrik,

I’ll do this for you right now. We are making it editable text in the next release.
