In our survey, we have a number of branches, and respondents can skip large portions of the survey based on their responses. The progress bar seems to assume the shortest completion time, and so skips from 98% done on the second screen, to 10% done on the third. It is mostly consistent after that, with a few smaller backwards jumps. This is rather frustrating for respondents–we don’t want to tell them they are making backwards progress!

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Julia,
If you’re using page jumping to jump near the end of the survey, then jump back to the beginning then the progress bar will not behave as you intend it to.

Instead try moving that page closer to the top of the survey so you don’t have to jump over large portions of the survey unless necessary.

Also if you’re trying to disqualify a respondent at the Pro level and higher we have an Advanced Page Jumping & Logic action that has the ability to disqualify respondents based on their answers to questions in the survey.

Hope this helps,
Chad
