is there any for individual rows of a matrix be counted as questions (for numbering purposes)?

The technically in the background are questions, but as presented to the user they currently share the overall question’s number. You could change the Title for the row to something like 7a., 7b., 7c. etc to give it some context for the reader. Am I off in understanding your question?

Sorry I was unclear.

the original survey was designed to have each row be its own number — but I got that changed
