Support Forums : randomizing options with drop-down menu matrix

I looked at your questions and you’re correct, the random settings don’t seem to be working on the Drop-Down Menu Matrixs.

The good news is that there’s another way to accomplish your desired results for your question. Not the most intuitive way but it’ll work!

Create (or modify your current) question so it’s a “Table of textboxes”

Title your question as you did before.
Create 1 column, with an appropriate label (rating, score, etc)
Enter the candidate names in for the rows

**if you’re creating the question from scratch, first check the “Adv. edit options for this question.” radio button then hit Add Question.**

scroll down to the “Basic Formatting” section and look for the box labeled: “Force selection out of these values:”
Enter your rating scale here, one entry per line. (or paste your list of 1-100 if you have it in text already)

Scroll down to advanced formatting and choose YES for randomize options.

Preview your question and you should see the candidate names now randomized!
