Hi SG,

I am 99% complete on my survey and I am testing my report function at the moment. It seems like a quite useful report tool you have, thanks for that.

However I have come across one problem. I have several custom matrixes in my survey where I ask about different online marketing metrics in different categories.

When I draw a report the custom matrix is divided into individual questions and not displayed under the same main question.

An example could be:

What are your activity numbers for 2007:

And horisontal questions would be:

Impressions
Clicks
Conversions
Visitors
etc

Vertical questions would be:

Banner
E-mail
SEM
SEO
Affiliate
Other

When I draw a report this question is divided up into 6 questions for each horisontal question. All named Impression. Then 6 more named Clicks. The main question is not displayed and the vertical is left out as well…

Is there a way to

1) include the overall question in a custom matrix?
2) Include the vertical question so I can see what the horisontal question refers to

Also I have made a textbox matrix that seems to do the same thing. Is there a way for it to display the overall question and the vertical question?

Tell me if you need the URL for the survey:)

Best Regards
Ulrik

Hi Ulrik,
Glad you figured it out.

To clarify, in normal table question each row in the table is considered it’s own question and the columns are considered each question’s options.

In a Custom Matrix question columns (as well as rows) are also considered questions. In essence every cell in the table is a question.

To display this data we break up the matrix into each individual question. Rather than try and display all of it in some esoteric 3d graph.

Hope this helps,
Chad
