When I require a response to a 4×10 radio button matrix, is the respondent required to respond once IN EACH ROW?

I just added such a requirement to a survey, previewed the survey, left the entire matrix blank, clicked on “next” and the survey went right on to the next page.

Thanks.

Same here: I have a 2X4 radio button matrix and have tried all options wrt to required question.

I have tried making the question req and not the answers, both question and answer req, and only the answers req and yet any combination does not make the question mandatory.

Any help is much appreciated.

In a radio button matrix, you have to require an answer on each row.

The blue box that you check at the top when you are editing the question merely adds the red asterisk to the survey. (It’s one of those easy-to-
-look-at-but-complicated-to-make-happen programmer thingys.)

To require answers in the matrix, you need to go further down the edit question page where it says, “Row Headings” and select “Require Answer.” Then, it makes the matrix questions required.

I hope this helps!

This still doesn’t seem to work..
Same problem with a matrix of radio buttons: I want each row to be checked by respondents, have made each row required in the editor, but still i can go on with the survey without having fulfilled every row.

any suggestion?
thanx
