Hi, Mandy.
I am not quite clear on what you mean by separate files in your question, but you can easily gather the data and contact information in your survey and then view it on the backend.
You could use a couple of approaches for this in SurveyGizmo:
1. You can set it up the way you outline–ask your question that determines their winnings and then ask them to leave their contact information in the next question.
We have a contact group question type that you can use in your survey for that question.
After you gather data, when you go to Browse Responses, you can customize what you see on the grid/page of responses so that you only see the answer to question 31 and whatever information from question 32 you select. This way, you can easily find those who answered question 31 correctly and their name and email will be right next to it. You could copy and paste the information wherever you want.
To customize the view on the Browse Responses page, click the link labeled “Customize List.”
2. You could also export all of your data and use a spreadsheet to extract your qualified survey takers.
I recommend you put a page break in your survey after the question that gathers the vital data. Then if people don’t finish the survey, you will still have the vital info. (When people click to the next page. data is submitted to us.) The survey will show as a partial in your overview. but you will get the vital data anyway.
I hope this helps,
Cheri
