Hi - we're looking to have respondents look at some pdf attachments within our survey, is there anyway to keep them secure so that only the intended respondents can view them?

Thanks

That depends on how you are identifying the respondents within the survey. You could hide a page based upon whether their email address is xxx, xxx, xxx and updatea  list, but that would prove tedious. Do you have any further details?

Ah, maybe you meant storing the files and linking to them as https:// instead? If you are an enterprise account, the files & templates section will provide secure links to any stored files.

We want to have the survey include links to 3 different pdf attachments for users to view and then comment on, but only have it where the intended users/respondents can open them. We wouldn't want someone to be able to save them and distribute at a later time. And we wouldn't be using the system to do the actual mailing.  Is this possible?

Thanks again.

If you provide a link to a pdf, it's up to the security in the PDF to try and restrict their ability to print or save a copy. However, fair warning, someone could take screenshots of the displayed pdf and distribute those… if people want to bad enough, it can be done.

A simple way to do this is to enable password protection to the PDF, show the link to everyone, but only give the password to the individuals who should see them. Secondarily, you can put the links to the PDFs on their own page, and restrict the page to only be visible to specific login passwords, if the survey had an ACTION > Survey Login.
