Hi,
I am considering sending out a survey invitation using a third party email tool, are there any tips/suggestions available to make this easy, i.e. I imagine the only way to introduce tracking is to pass data into the invitation url, what formatt is required for this?
I have looked the ExactTarget Tutorial but that seems to rely on an existing relationship.
Thanks

Hi Leibiniz,
Great, yes that’s one way to do it.
Another way that was just released is to upload your contacts into our Email Invitation system then download the contact list (in the invitation at the bottom of the contact list “download contacts”).
In that export’s second column you’ll see the invite link that you can use in your 3rd party email system. This will provide you with tracking in our system as well as your 3rd party system.
The only catch is you won’t be able to send reminders from our system unless the actual invite has been sent.
Hope this helps,
Chad

Thanks, I assume that you place the ID link into the survey URL,

Hi Leibiniz,
I’m not sure what you mean. What you will do is take the Email Invite Links and email those out through your 3rd party email system.
The links are the survey urls and those are what the survey taker will be clicking on to get to the survey.
Hope this helps,
Chad

Ah, I understand, that makes it even easier, well done, very smart.
