I have 3 people who will be working on ONE survey together and I haven’t found a way to do this. I tried adding multiple e-mail addresses as one contact (separating with ;), but had no luck. Then I tried making individual links for each company, by putting MY e-mail address in to send to myself and then could then cut-and-paste that into a link to all 3 people. It wouldn’t allow me to send out an invite to a new contact to the same e-mail address. I’m out of ideas…

Hi bsutherland,
The best way to have multiple people take the same survey is to email the survey to the first person and have them forward the survey on to the next person when they’re done.

This ensures that only one person is in the survey at any given time (so they don’t overwrite each other’s data).

Hope this helps,
Chad

This means that the data won’t be separated into two files if two people start the survey at the same time? And what happens if two people start 1 minute apart?

Hi, Patrick.

The key idea here is that the person forwards the survey link AFTER THEY ARE DONE WITH IT. That link will contain the word “Pro20″ close to the beginning of it.

If 2 people use the same specific Pro20 link that is copied from the first survey taker’s survey and sent to others, the last person to submit their survey will overwrite the other person’s survey.

Only one person at a time should be using a Pro20 link that was forwarded from the first person as described in the original post here.

The moral of the story is–it’s best not to mess with Pro20 links.
A better approach in this case would be to use Email Invites and set it up so that the link opens up the same survey each time it is clicked. Then the person could forward the Email Invitation to the next person.

I hope this helps.
