Can the email invitation tool be set up to automatically send the thank you email when someone submits the survey or can these only be sent out manually?
If they can only be sent out manually, if I send it once to all the people who have responded, then want to send it out again later after more people have responded, will the first set of people who already got the thank you email get it again?

I looked at the email auto-responder tool (under the “add actions”), but that is requiring me to collect the survey taker’s email within the survey, which I am not.
Thank you!

I’ll answer these out of order…
If you send a manual THANK YOU through the email invites, it will only send it to those who have not yet received a thank you, no duplication emails.
In regards to sending an email through ADD ACTION > SEND EMAIL, it allows you to use merge codes in those fields.
Therefore, you could simply add the following for the TO email address: [%%Email Address%%]
For their name, you can use those merge codes as well: [%%First Name%%] [%%Last Name%%]
.
While these aren’t made available in the helper on that page, they are available and usable. Hope that helps!

Thanks! I don’t have the names, just the email address. :)

I’m looking forward to the email invitation tool thank you being automated someday…. wishful thinking! :)
