Hi,

Everything is loaded and activated for the wordpress plugin, including the API number copy/pasted directly into the survey dashboard in WordPress…

However, we continue to get this error message:

SurveyGizmo Survey Dashboard
Create New Survey Error - Your user key may have been mis-typed.

Can’t figure out a fix and we can’t get the search functionality in the forum to work to see if this is a problem that anyone else has found a resolution to.

Please advise.

Thank you so much,
Chandra & Elynna

Hi.

Our WordPress plugin is not compatible with newer versions of WordPress. We need to update it.

Our lead developer is working on a new plugin in his spare time. I can’t really give you a timeline as to when it will be available.

Looks like I have put it off long enough. Can you guys tell me what the Specs are for your machines?

Linux/Windows?
PHP Version?
web host (if shared)?

Thanks. I’m looking in the code right now for problems.

Cheers,

-Christian

Hi guys,

I think I solved the problem for the old plugin. I just updated it and uploaded a new ZIP.

Can you uninstall the version you are currently using and try this one?

Thanks!

Thank you so much! And I realize now that on the actual plugin page, there were a lot of people with the same request.

So, did as suggested above and this is what happened to the whole blog when we try to view it (even on the home page) or in our admin dashboard:

Warning: require_once(../wp-includes/class-snoopy.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/s/l/b/slblogadmin/html/wp-content/plugins/surveygizmo/surveygizmo.php on line 36

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘../wp-includes/class-snoopy.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php’) in /home/content/s/l/b/slblogadmin/html/wp-content/plugins/surveygizmo/surveygizmo.php on line 36

We can’t see our blog now unless we totally remove the folder from our plugins.

Thank you for your continued help!

Hi Chandra,
Looks like you’re trying to include a non-existant file.

Was this issue resolved?

Hi Chad,

We re-downloaded the zip file. Was the previous file not updated?

Thanks for your help!

Chandra and Elynna,

It’s possible that your php install has a different include path thank the plugin expects.

If you get this message again, please let us know right away. I’ll help you make the change to get it to work.

Cheers,

-Christian

I’m getting the same issue still:

Warning: require_once(../wp-includes/class-snoopy.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/a2120154/public_html/wp-content/plugins/surveygizmo/surveygizmo.php on line 36

I see that I have the class-snoopy.php in that folder, perhaps we’re starting from a different subdirectory than than the ‘../’ ?

I edited the surveygismo.php file to put in the direct path and I no longer get an error.

I now just get a plain blank page.

Haha, I feel like I’m powning this thread.

Anyway, I deleted the plugin folder from my server (since my wordpress blog wouldn’t show unless I did) and I found that the page shows perfectly without the plugin. Perhaps it’s not needed after all?

For the record I’m not using the javascript but put in the exact html which makes sense. Perhaps I’m not understanding the purpose of the plugin.

Hi Cameron,

I’ll go take a look at the plugin. Perhaps I should not have assumed that your class would be in the same location as mine. At the very least I should put a @ in front of that require so it doesn’t display messages.

No, the wordpress plugin is not needed to display embeded surveys on your blog. It’s really just a convinience so you can jump into surveygizmo from wordpress directly to the survey or report you are interested in.

Thanks for the feedback!
