I would like to be able to customize the error message by page…for example – on the password page – tell them that the password is case sensitive or give them a general error message if they typo…

later in the survey, a customized error message about correctly formatting an email address, for example…. one size does not fit all.

Hi,

SurveyGizmo doesn’t offer the option to create a separate error message for each page.

Some workarounds: For the login password, put a note that it’s case sensitive.

You can edit your general error message that appears at Edit Survey => Look&Feel.

If you want to gather email addresses, use a textbox and then use Validation (Advanced Edit => Validation). Set the dropdown box to Email Address Format. You can enter your own error message in the text box there. For validation to occur, the question must be required.

I hope this helps,
Cheri

Hey, Josh!

You can edit the error messages by clicking on the “Look & Feel” link, just udner the “Edit Survey” tab. On the Look & Feel page, scroll down just a bit, until you see the text field labeled “General Error Message:”.

Once you're there, change the text from “There was an error on your page.  Please correct any required fields and submit again.” to whatever you would like your new error message to be.

Viola! You've got a customized error message!
