Does SurveyGizmo support so-called Double Byte languages (e.g., Chinese, Japanese and Korean)? In this tutorial on the SG site — http://www.surveygizmo.com/spa…..h-surveys/ — it mentions that SurveyGizmo supports any language that can be displayed as UTF-8. However, it also adds that a customer has even published a survey in Arabic. I didn't think Arabic was supported by UTF-8, which means there may be hope for me if I want to publish a survey in Chinese!

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey, John!

UTF-8 easily supports two byte languages, which supports just about anything you can put into your computer with the exception of some very obscur and non-standard Mandarin and a very select few other specific characters in other languages.

UTF-8 is the current web standard for internationalization. You are welcome to create a free account before you sign up for any paid account so you can make sure the character set you're using is compatible with SurveyGizmo, and hey, maybe the free account will be all you'll need :-)

If you are using a non-standard character set, we can also change your survey's header to read UTF-16 so you can use three byte characters, but this would prevent you from using some of our built-in reporting tools.
