I need to implement a group question with a dropdown list of choices. If the user selects “Other”, a text field is enabled that asks the user to describe.

I need the group question as the user must be able to create subsequent groups.

I saw a similar post that this is not possible within the standard set of options. Is there any way within the scripting or advanced features where I can make this possible?

Thanks.

Hi, and welcome to the SurveyGizmo support forums!

Groups actually can't use an “other” textfield directly, however, you have two different options to get the result you'd like.

You can set your drop-down menu in your group to show/hide a subsequent question which can be your “other” textbox, below the group, or you can recreate your drop-down menu from the group as its own radio-button question which makes use of the default “other” feature.

I hope this helps!
