We make educational Flash and HTML applications that include lots of questions and surveys and would love to use your API to post responses to your backend. We currently do so to our databases, but it’s a pain and the reporting is limited and no where near as robust as what you offer.

The idea would be to keep them within our application from beginning to end, but harness the reporting functionality you guys do so great. The way I envision it is to create a quiz or survey within surveygizmo and mirror the questions in our application. We would feed our responses to the survey in surveygizmo using the API.

On our end, we can easily pass an ID to identify an individual throughout the session.

What do you think? Is something like this possible?

Hi David,

This is completely possible — and actually, you can do it using our current API!

We have a function in our API called “SubmitSurveyResponse” that was actually written for the exact purpose you are suggesting — to collect responses collected in a Flash application.

Youc an learn more about our current API in the tutorial section — and if you send an email to support@sgizmo.com I’d be happy to forward you our AS3 class that we wrote to encapsulate this ability.

Cheers,

Christian
