Hi Guys,

A question about the security of your mailservers.

When I was testing your tool during our trial, we tried sending surveys from myself, to other employees at our company. We have the same @domain mail address, and these emails were blocked by our mail filter. But surveys were sent out fine to external email addresses.

I was told to get IT to set up an exception for it to work, see topic here: http://www.surveygizmo.com/for…..-bouncing/

Before we go ahead (with the exception and signing up), IT are wanting to know how you protect your mail servers from abuse by a third party, as it seems quite easy to send an email as someone else?

Thanks for your help.

Hey, Matthew!

We use several different methods for protecting our servers.

  1. We do not allow relaying
  2. We have an SPF record
  3. the Servers are firewalled
  4. We monitor our email invitations

I hope this helps! If you need any additional information please feel free to ask!
