I wanted to test what prices people would be willing to pay for a menu item. Does your system have the ability to have a scale from $0 – X that the respondent could move to the price they would be willing to pay?

Hi,

We have thought about it, but we are always concerned with making sure blind users can take our surveys and right now we don’t have something that would work for them as well as the rest of the world.

Here is a suggestion of how you could get this information from your survey takers.

Initially, use a radio button question that has widely-priced ranges. For example, “How much would you pay for a supreme pizza?” $6-$8.99, $9-$11.99, $12-$14.99

Run this for a certain number of responses.

Then if you want to refine it more, copy the original survey, and run a new survey and make the ranges more refined: $6-$6.49, $6.50-$7.00, $7.01-$7.50 etc.

Run this for a larger number of responses to get more accurate results.

This is how you can drill down to get a good idea of what people will pay.

I hope this helps,
Cheri
