Hi Guys,
I could swear I’ve seen this feature on your site. However, I can’t find it anymore. I’d like to be able to provide the survey to someone who prefers to take it offline. This is also something that I could use if I need to send my survey to someone to proofread.

Thanks,
Lisa

Lisa,

This option is available in the survey editor on the far side of the right nav bar. It’s a small printer icon.

Could a survey recipient print and preview the survey before submitting. Thanks, Lisa

Not easily (unless it was a single page survey) Hmm… this is a great feature idea. I’ll move this over to our feature Request forum.

I would vote for this feature as well! I know I will have to offer my survey to some as a hard copy - Right now when I print my survey, it is not “pretty”, - eg -the response options often split from the question, each page has the file address on the bottom and the colour layout doesn’t match the attractive web version.
I am wondering if I should try to put my survey all on one page, but then the respondents might not be able to see their progress, and they wouldn’t be able to save and put the survey on hold to finish it later if need be ( my survey is a tad on the long side)

Donna -

It might be worth “copying” your survey and modifying the copy so all the questions are on one page to facilitate printing. That way you can print out nicer copies for those that need to fill it out by hand, but everyone else can still have the convenience of multiple pages and saving as they go.

sounds like a good option - but how do I copy my survey? If I just select all and copy, most of the format is gone- is there another way to copy?

Donna -

Navigate either to your “home” screen that you see when first logging in to SG, or the All Your Surveys Menu.

On either of those screens you can copy a survey by clicking the copy icon to the right of your survey title. It’s in between the trash icon and magnifying glass. Clicking it will bring you to a screen where you can name the copy amongst other things. Once copied it’ll be in design mode, ready to be modified without harming your original survey. Great for experimenting with new features without worrying about losing important work!

Jason - this is so simple - I have done this already to develop a revised survey - guess I was looking for something more difficult, like copy and pasting to a word document…. thanks for your fresh perspective….
