I was trying to make sure my survey was accessible to individuals who may not be able to see figures in my survey. The reason I chose Survey Gizmo to create my survey was that it claimed to have features that would enable me to create an accessible survey. When I add figures to text only pages or to questions, I can add alternative texts to it. However, when I use the image selection option of question type and try to add alternative text, it places the text below my figure as a caption. I do not want that to happen. I would like the alternative text to be available only when required. How can I add alternative text to the image selection question without having it appear as a caption?

Unfortunately, with the Image Choice question, the caption and alt text are linked as you described. However, if you add the following to your Edit Survey > Look & Feel, it will cause the caption to not be visible (alt text remains):
.sg_caption { display:none; }

Thanks Mario for replying, but the solution you sent does not work. I went to Edit Survey –> Look and feel –> This Theme's CSS Template and pasted the syntax you provided. However, it does not hide the alt text.

Hi Rochelle. The alt text for image selection questions are the captions. You can choose whether or not you want the captions displayed in the Advanced Editor for the question. You can uncheck the box next to Display Image Caption. The feature should be working properly now. Thanks!
