I am a rather terrible newbie on the system (just started yesterday) and have the following task: a) create a research survey that is anonymous (which i figured out how to do in the Advanced options); b) allow for a way to pick up a winner of a giveaway from all respondents (in other words, create some form of communication with the chosen winner) without jeopardizing the integrity of the response set. this would be a university survey in which IRBs (institutional review boards) need to be assured we have the proper tools in place (ethics, anonymity, etc.). (i have a personal account.) – many thanks for whoever can provide me with some guidance here. – nico

Without some sort of identifiable information, you can't link the response back to anyone in a way that you can reward a single winner. They contradict each other. The only way to do it is to have an independent panel or individual process the sweepstakes and then provide the output data without the identifiable info, such as an email address, to the researchers. It's basically a middle man.
