What do I click on to collect info and be able to reference the ID to a person’s email address? I sent my survey out to 50 persons, asking questions what food, drink, etc. they’re bringing to several different days events. Now I’m getting response data -as a reference id-but don’t see the email address/who responded to each question.
Why does the “Partial Response Data”, when exported, only show a reference id -not an email adress? Do I need to add a text box for survey takers to add their email address before they submit?
Do I need to set up a text box in the survey?

Hi,
Did you use the email invitation system to invite the respondents? If yes, you can view individual responses in the email invite summary section.
When you view each response you should see the unique ID number within the response details.

Thanks Connie!
Hi pbrady,
If you are sending the survey out through your own email, and not our Email Invitation system, then there’s no way for our system to automatically know where you sent the survey link to.
This can be done through the query string but it will require some messing with the survey URL.
It may just be easier to include a field asking the respondent for their contact information.
Hope this helps,
Chad

How can you track who responds to a survey by changing the URL?

Ashley,
You can use our email invites to do some tracking, or a how-to that discusses this a bit can be found here:

Hi All,
I am having a similar problem. I have sent out a 'practice' survey to some of my colleagues and although on the overview it states that all the responses have been received, when I go into the email invite section to check who answered what it is showing as no responses received. I need to be able to easily see if my colleagues have answered questions incorrectly as this is the purpose of my survey.
Any suggestions would be helpful!!

Hello!
As long as you used the [%%Survey Link%%] merge code inside of the email invitation, you should be able to see the status right there in the email invitation. Can you tell me what the name of the survey is so I can look into that for you?
Thanks!

Hi there,
If you go to Email Invites and click on your invitation, you can see a red error message in the Invitation Text Field that says No Survey Link! If you click on Edit Content, you can see that you entered the survey link from the Publish tab: http://www.surveygizmo.com/s/1…..or-q1-2009
In email invites, you want to use the merge code for the link, which can be found on the right hand side of the Text Content. Click on [%%Survey_Link%%] or [%%Secure_Survey_Link%%] and it will be inserted directly into the text box. This should solve the problem!
