Hi everyone - I’ve been using Surveygizmo for a month or so now with the paid subscription, and it’s been great, but I don’t think my surveys are working as well as they should.

I understand there is compromise that has to be made between the amount of info you can collect and then the amount of people who will abandon the survey but what do people think is best?

I’ve sent out about 3000 mails to a portion of our registered users.. 700 opened the email, approx 350 clicked through, 240 abandoned and 110 completed it.

I’ve made all the questions compulsory to keep the data “good”. Do you think this is a problem though?

Thanks!

Andre

Are the surveys broken up in pages? Too many questions (and making them all required) on a single page can cause folks to abandon quickly. When it comes to personally identifiable information, I don’t recommend it be required unless it is part of a question such as, “Would you like to receive more information and discounts about x?”

First impressions are important only as much as they are in-person.
