TV Free Parents from Original Study in 2000

Page One

Thank you, parents, for revisiting the issue of raising your children without TV. I still remember wishing I could sit down over a cup of coffee with so many of you to just visit. When some parenting choices are considered unusual and even foreign, it's certainly nice to find others with similar views. It was a terrifically fun study to do in 2000 and now I am looking forward to the followup survey, "Growing Up Without Television," with your children, should they choose to take it. As a final favor, would you mind answering six questions about your lifestyle today as well as observations on your TV viewing habits in 2000 compared to 2012. As in the first study, all answers will remain anonymous and you can withdraw from the survey at any time. Once again, MANY thanks to you!
1. Some respondents from the first study in 2000, reported viewing limited TV (less than one hour per day) and some did not view TV at all. What level were you in 2000?
2. Please describe your level of TV viewing today:
3. If you were to do it ALL OVER again, would you still choose to limit or eliminate TV as you were raising your children?
5. Do you think your children will raise THEIR children without TV?
7. If you wish to remain in touch and receive info on results of this survey and the "Growing Up Without Television" survey, please include your email in the space below.
