Welcome to GISR's survey related to Sustainability Ratings.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this 20 minute survey administered by the Global Initiative for Sustainability Ratings (GISR - www.ratesustainability.org). GISR is a joint project of Ceres and Tellus Institute, the organizations that co-founded the Global Reporting Initiative. GISR is a new participant in the family of initiatives aimed at making capital markets agents of, rather than impediments to, achieving the Post Rio+20 sustainability agenda.
GISR's goal is to develop a global standard to bring convergence, harmonization, and greater transparency to the field of sustainability (ESG) ratings, research, rankings and indices. GISR believes that raising the bar of excellence in ratings is indispensable to enhancing the quality and comparability of material information needed to move markets toward more sustainable outcomes.
The results of this survey will inform and shape the development of GISR's programs and standard-setting activities. It will also be used as a key input in the development of a User's Guide to Sustainability Ratings that will be published - and made freely and publicly available with support from the IRRC Institute, a not-for-profit organization established in 2006 to provide thought leadership at the intersection of corporate responsibility and the informational needs of investors. The IRRC Institute ensures its research is available at no charge to investors, corporate officials, academics, policymakers, the media, and all interested stakeholders.
Participants in this survey will be emailed an in-depth report that will incorporate the key findings of this survey and other related research efforts.
