MAKING COMMUNITIES MORE LIVABLE FOR AND OLDER ADULTS AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

Title and Purpose

INDIANA UNIVERSITY, BLOOMINGTON / INDIANA INSTITUTE ON DISABILITY AND COMMUNITY, CENTER ON AGING AND COMMUNITY SURVEY ON "MAKING COMMUNITIES MORE LIVABLE FOR OLDER ADULTS AND PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES"

You are invited to help highlight what Indiana communities are doing to prepare for issues faced by an aging population and to help make communities more livable for seniors and people with disabilities. That is to say we are interested in creating an inventory of public and private community initiatives in Indiana that are intended to improve the quality of life of these and other demographic groups by increasing their mobility and transportation options, lifestyle and independent living options, and access to retail, services and amenities. Your responses will be used to compile a directory of initiatives introduced across Indiana within the last 5 years to make communities more livable for citizens of all abilities across the lifespan. We recognize your time is limited, so we appreciate your assistance and that of the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns, the survey sponsor, and the Indiana Governor's Council for People with Disabilities, the funder.
