The Supplement- State Employment Practice and Strategy

The state agency responsible for services to individuals with developmental disabilities (DD) in Pennsylvania, the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), is working to improve employment services.  These services should lead to jobs within local businesses where individuals are earning benefits, minimum wage or higher, and be working alongside people who do not have disabilities.

This may relate to employment goals for someone in your family, someone you know well and support, or yourself.  This also relates to those who are not yet receiving services but who may access such supports in the future.

To assist in this effort, ODP joined the State Employment Leadership Network (SELN) to go through a process of assessing services and experiences.  We would like your feedback as a part of the review.

Our team will also be using your comments to revise the survey for use in other states; comments to improve the survey are welcome.  If you need help completing the survey please talk with your support coordinator or another trusted member of the service planning team.

If interested you can also talk with the review team, the state agency's team, and learn of the review findings and recommendations.  You will have an opportunity at the end of the survey to leave your name and contact information if you would like to hear back from someone regarding the results, or to talk about the kinds of services this survey is addressing.

Your feedback on this survey is very valuable and we welcome hearing from you.
