On behalf of the group known as Hoosiers and Information Literacy, which is a project of the Academic Libraries of Indiana, you are invited to participate in a research study on information literacy programing in Indiana public libraries. You were selected as a possible subject because you work in Indiana public libraries and develop or provide programing for patrons. We ask that you read this form and ask any questions you may have before agreeing to be in the study.
The study is being conducted by Christina Wray of the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, Heather McNabb of the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library system, and Sara O’Sha of the Indiana State Library. It is on behalf of the Hoosiers and Information Literacy group of the Academic Libraries of Indiana.
STUDY PURPOSE
The purpose of this study is to identify what types of information literacy instruction are taking place in Indiana public libraries as well as identify the professional development needs of Indiana public librarians to improve information literacy education opportunities at public libraries.
