Young Adult Survey Letter

Hello!

We would like to invite you to participate in a research study we are doing to find out how sex offender registration and notification policies effect young adults.

If you are between 18 and 21 years old, we are asking you to join this study. Your experiences are very important to this study, whether or not you have had to register or have had others notified about you.

If you agree to join this study you will:

Fill out an online survey that will ask you questions about:
- Your thoughts, feelings, fears and hopes
- Your experiences with people your age and with adults
- Whether or not you have been a victim of sexual abuse
- Your own offenses
The survey will take about 25 minutes to complete.
The survey is voluntary and you may skip any questions you do not feel comfortable answering or end the survey at anytime.

Once you fill out the survey, you will receive a $25 gift card to the online store Amazon (www.Amazon.com). You will fill out a separate online form with your name and email address. This information will be kept strictly confidential, will only be used to provide you with the gift card, and will not be linked to your survey responses. The gift card will be sent to the email address you provide.

All information obtained from this survey will be kept strictly confidential. No names or other identifying information will be linked to any survey responses. All information obtained from this study will not be reported to anyone outside the study personnel, except for study audits that might be required by research regulatory agencies.
