Reed College Consent to Participate in Research
Auditory Imaging Survey

This is a senior thesis study conducted by Julianne Myers. I am studying the ability of people to create and perceive auditory images. You will be asked to complete this survey regarding musical experience history and a survey on your auditory imaging abilities. Your participation will require 10-15 minutes. You will earn $0.15 on completion, to be claimed through Amazon.com for participating.

The data collected in this research project will be kept confidential. Reports of this study will not include individual data in a form by which you could be identified. If successful, this study may contribute to our understanding of auditory imagery. Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary. You may also discontinue all participation in this study at any time. However, you will not receive the $0.15 if you discontinue participation before completing the survey.

I will be glad to answer any questions about the procedures of this study. Answers to questions on topics that might influence the outcome of the study may be deferred until the end of the session, when I will explain the purpose of the study in more detail.
