Community Resident Survey

Please help Windy City Habitat for Humanity learn about your community!

About Windy City Habitat for Humanity

Windy City Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that provides housing programs in partnership with families; you may have seen the new Habitat houses on S. Union Avenue. While our primary program is a home-ownership program, we are gradually expanding our focus from building homes to building communities.

We are interested in partnering with the community to support improvement of quality of life. In order to be effective, it is important that we gather information about the community’s most pressing concerns. For this reason, we are conducting a Community Resident Survey.
About the Community Resident Survey

The Community Resident Survey asks questions about safety, access to goods and services, neighborhood appearance, community involvement, and it asks residents to rank the things they like most and least about their community.

Gathering community information will help us:
• Learn how we can best partner with you.
• Learn the impact of revitalization work in your area and how your quality of life has changed.
• Inform strategic partnerships with other community partners in the area.

The survey is voluntary and it takes about 15 minutes to complete. People surveyed must be over 18 years old. If you would like you can choose to skip questions.
Unless explicitly allowed by you, your specific answers will be kept confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside of our evaluation team. If you choose to participate, your answers will be combined with other people’s information in a report of the area. We can use all of this information to inform your community and others about people’s experiences in this area.
