2014 CYFI Youth Awards Competition

AWARDS OVERVIEW
The goal of the CYFI 2014 Youth Awards Championship is to celebrate outstanding efforts made by children and youth in increasing access to Financial Education and Financial Inclusion. Awards finalists will be invited to attend the CYFI Youth Summit 2014 in New York City in April 2014, where they will be able to share their ideas related to financial inclusion with policy-makers, academics, financial executives and activists from all over the world.

ELIGIBILITY
Businesses that have ALREADY been jump started and employ at least 3-5 other youngsters, OR businesses that have ALREADY started and help the community/society.

GENERAL CRITERIA
The candidate projects for the 2014 CYFI Youth Awards Championship will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

Creativity: You need to show that you can be imaginative and innovative in your ideas and actions.
Commitment: You need to show a long-term interest and motivation in Financial Education and Inclusion through your ideas and actions.
Collaboration: You need to demonstrate you are able to work in a team.
Impact: Your initiative should have a positive impact on the people around you.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS
The submission date for the application CLOSED on 28 March, 2014.

However, applications are being accepted past the deadline as outstanding projects will still receive an invitation to the Youth Meeting in NYC. Note that applications past the deadline may still be invited but will not be in the running for finalists.
