Consent Disclosure Statement
The following survey is part of a research study being conducted by David Hill and Sabrina Demetrioff at the University of Manitoba. The purpose of this study is to survey forensic psychology practitioners across Canada regarding their clinical experiences, training in forensic psychology, current clinical practice, and interdisciplinary practice issues.
To be eligible to participate in this study, you must be a forensic or clinical psychologist or psychologist candidate who practices clinical-forensic psychology in a forensic, correctional, private practice, or other type of clinical setting. You do not have to currently be registered as a psychologist (i.e., candidates for registration as a psychologist who have completed their degree and are working towards registration are also included). We are interested in sampling all psychologists and psychologist candidates who do clinical-forensic work, regardless of the percentage of time spent doing forensic work (i.e., full-time or part-time forensic practice).
This study involves answering a series of questions and will take approximately 15 minutes of your time. Participation in this study is voluntary. Survey responses will be confidential and researchers will not be able to track participants’ email addresses. The records of this study will be kept confidential and no identifying information will be collected from participants.
There are no foreseeable risks involved in participating in this study. In addition, there are no direct benefits provided to participants.
This study has been approved by the Health Research Ethics Board at the University of Manitoba, which may review study documentation for quality assurance purposes.
