Exposing your OAE equipment to cold temperatures for more than just a few minutes can:

1) Freeze the LED display screen and ruin it.

2)
Diminish the recharge capacity of the battery.

3) Cause the plastic casing of the screening unit to crack and break.

4) Cause the cords to become brittle and crack.

The bottom line is, don't ever leave your OAE equipment outside in the winter, or for that matter, in any season.  Extreme temperatures can do serious damage.

Be kind to your OAE equipment.
Keep it in a nice room-temperature environment and it will last a long time!

Remember to visit kidshearing.org for more resources
to support your hearing screening and follow-up activities!

Will you let others know the importance of protecting your OAE equipment from extreme temperatures?
