CAST ePrescribing Readiness in Long-Term and Post-Acute Care (LTPAC)

On Nov. 1, 2014, the exemption for long-term care from using NCPDP SCRIPT 10.6 ePrescribing standard as the only acceptable way to communicate prescription/ medication orders electronically to outside pharmacies will be lifted. CAST is inviting LTPAC Providers to take this brief survey. The survey aims to gauge the technical readiness of LTPAC Providers as well as the Perceived Readiness of Pharmacies for this regulatory change.

2. Do you have an EHR, ePrescribing or Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) software that you use to electronically communicate prescription/ medication orders to an outside pharmacy (a separate legal entity that is not part of your organization)? *This question is required.
3. If yes, is your EHR, ePrescribing or Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) software technically ready for lifting the long-term and post-acute care exemption on the use of NCPDP SCRIPT 10.6 standard (i.e. implements NCPDP SCRIPT 10.6 standard, or higher, to communicate prescriptions to outside pharmacies)? *This question is required.
