The ITA has been tasked with dramatically increasing the numbers of Youth Apprentices, and their continuation rates into trades training. The ITA and Ministry of Education propose to restructure the ITA’s Youth Programs into a revised Youth Apprenticeship Program, consisting of a series of program building blocks that supports optimal pathways for Youth Apprentices.
A first phase of consultation generated this list of ideas from participants with diverse perspectives across the province. The second phase of consultation includes this survey to seek further feedback on the ideas brought forward.
Ideas are presented here for discussion only– only some ideas will go forward as recommendations, informed by this round of consultation, and feedback on the draft recommendations at ITA Youth Day on November 26.
